Gods/Goddesses/Demigods
* Cronus - father time, carried the lunar scythe. (WDS.154)
* Rhea Cronia - scythian goddess - the crone - mother time. (earlier version of Cronus) (WDS.154)
* Saturn - Roman version of Cronus (father time, carrying lunar scythe) - and also used for an undeworld god. (WDS.154)
* Zurvan - Zoroastrian - "Boundless time" - fathered Ahriman (god of dark and evil) and Ahura Mazda (god of light and good). (ANGEL.14)


Symbols and Objects
* hourglass - originally symbol of creation, creation, it became a stylized hourglass, meaning time. (WDS.35) (see creativity)
* Lunar scythe - given to cronus = father time. earlier version: named for scythian goddess - Rhea Cronia, the crone, mother time. (both characters devour their children) Romans called cronus "saturn" - also the underworld god of death. (WDS.154) (see death.)
* Scroll - a symbol of time - from the parts already read, the parts currently being red, and the parts yet to be read. (WDS.153)
* Solar Swastica - Gnostic world symbol. - a feeling of movement. Turning of the year with equinoxes and solstices. (4 solar festivals). often viewed as the turning of time. (WDS.61)
* Wheel - The mother Kali ruled the "wheel of time" - "Kalacakra" where the 'life breath of the world was fixed.' (WDS.16)
* World triad - General symbol of eternity. Originally from the orient, Gnostics used it as a symbol of creativity, fate (3-fold), and the 'eternally spiraling cycles of time' (WDS.43)
