* Achelous - Greek river god. deity of largest Greece River. When Achelous fought Heracles, he turned into a serpent and then a bull. His horn broke off and was adopted by the goddess of plenty - becoming a cornucopia, a symbol of plenty. (DM.2)
* Apas - (see crecent moon tattvas)
* Chac - Mayan rain god. was depicted with feet in the form of reptile heads, walking on water from which he gets fish to be placed in a basket on his back. (MEX.87)
* Chalchiuhtlicue - Teotihuacan water goddess. (Nahuatl for "her skirt is of jade") (MEX.101)
* Cociyo - Monte Alban (ancient mexico) rain god. (MEX.125)
* Dagon - Philistine fish god. worshipped in Gaza and Ashdod. (DM.66)
* Evenus - a greek river god (DM.166) - a greek river god. (DM.166)
* Inachus - Greek god of the river (by the same name) his river was dried by Poseidon when he was made to judge a dispute between Poseidon and Hera of which Hera won. (DM.139)
* Neptune - Italian god of water, rain and fertility. Identified with greek Poseidon, god of the sea. (DM.183)

* Naiads - nymphs of streams, ponds, and other freshwater. River nymphs also neiads, but moreso they are Potameides. (DM.180)

* Tlalocan - Teotihuacan - Nahuatl term for "paradise of the rain god" (MEX.101)

* Circle (with horizontal line) - the traditional symbol for water. (lighter than earth, heavier than air.) (WDS.7) alchemical symbol of salt, associated with the sea and division of waters above and below the earth's plane. (WDS.5)
* Crecent Moon - silver Hindu Tattvas symbol for water. named "Apas". Can also be a deity to envoke. (WDS.106)
* Cups - the tarot deck symbol associated with water (WDS.7) Medieval alchemical symbol for water. especially in life giving waters of the 'sea womb' (which has given birth to earth and everything on it) Tarot used the cup, and later the heart. The cup is also a maternal symbol. (WDS.134)
* Lagu - Celtic/teutonic tribe rune for water. (WDS.152)
* T - TAU cross = pagan germans and celts - sometimes symbolized as a divine mallet or double hammer of the rain god. (WDS.38)

* X - Vedic traditional symbol for the thunderbolt - used to bring rain. (WDS.49)
* Wishing Well - Runic Charm - Iceland - Crecent moon dippers into well. Springs were honoured, guarded and served by groups of sacred women. They made a wish and an offering to the well as a prayer to the resident water goddess. Also, medieval opinion that women were supposed to prey to their own deity, the mother moon, instead to god for what they wanted. (WDS.62)
